Ysgol Gymraeg sydd wedi ei gwreiddio yn nhref Merthyr Tudful yw Ysgol  Gymraeg Santes Tudful.  Mae’n darparu addysg o ansawdd uchel trwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg i dros 440 o blant gyda’r Saesneg yn cael ei chyflwyno ym mlwyddyn 3.  Golyga hyn fod yr holl ddisgyblion yn gadael yr ysgol yn hyderus ddwyieithog ac yn barod i’w trosglwyddo i Ysgol Gyfun Rhydywaun.  Mae’r ysgol yn cynnig ystod o brofiadau addysgol cyfoethog ac amrywiol ac yn paratoi’r disgyblion i fod yn ddinasyddion dwyieithog cyfrifol sy’n parchu ei gilydd, eu cyd-ddyn, eu treftadaeth a’u hamgylchfyd.

Welcome to Ysgol Gymraeg Santes Tudful's website.  Ysgol Santes Tudful is a Welsh medium school that is firmly rooted in the town of Merthyr Tudful.  It provides high quality Welsh-medium education to over 440 pupils with English introduced in Year 3. This ensures that all the pupils leave the school competent and confident in their use of both languages and thoroughly prepared for the transition to Ysgol Gyfun Rhydywaun.  The school provides a range of rich educational experiences and prepares the pupils to become responsible bilingual citizens that respect each other, their peers, their heritage and their environment.

Santes Tudful - Safle y Gurnos/Gurnos Site

Rydym yn brysur tyfu ysgol gymraeg newydd, sydd wedi lleoli yn y Gurnos. O fis Medi 2025, bydd gennym ddisgyblion o oedran cyn feithrin hyd at flwyddyn 1. Mae hi'n ysgol hapus, ysgol fach - ond ysgol prysur, sydd yn trochi plant yn yr iaith gymraeg o'r diwrnod cyntaf yn yr ysgol. Dewch i weld ein safle - bydd croeso cynnes yn aros yno i chi!

We are busy groeing the third Welsh Medium School in Merthyr TYdfil. This is situated in the Gurnos - it os called Ysgol Santes Tudful - Safle'r Gurnos. from September 2025, we will have pupils from pre nursery age to year 1. Is it a very happy school - it may be small at present - but it is very busy! Here, we immerse children in the Welsh Language from the first second they enter in the morning, until they leave in the afternoon! The result? Fluent Welsh Speakers by age 5!
