Mynediad i'r Ysgol / School Admissions

Mae mynediad plant i ysgolion yn cael ei reoli a'i weinyddu gan yr 'Awdurdod Derbyn'. Awdurdod derbyn Ysgol Santes Tudful yw Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Merthyr Tudful.

Am gais i ysgol benodol rhaid gwneud yn swyddogol trwy'r porth ar-lein i'r awdurdod lleol. Mae'r awdurdod lleol yn cynnig lleoedd mynediad yn ystod y tymor cyn bod plentyn i fod i ddechrau'r ysgol. Ar ôl derbyn y cais, bydd yr awdurdod yn hysbysu rhieni / gofalwyr a yw'n bosibl i'ch plentyn fynychu'r ysgol a ffefrir neu beidio. Dylai rhieni / gofalwyr hysbysu'r awdurdod lleol o flaen llaw os oes ganddynt blentyn, a fydd yn cyrraedd yr oedran o 4 blynedd erbyn 31ain Awst, 2020. Os oes angen i drafod eich cais gyda'r ysgol, gallwch siarad â'r Pennaeth, ac os yn briodol, gellir trefnu ymweliad ysgol.

Bydd disgyblion sy'n mynychu ysgolion cynradd Cymraeg yn gallu parhau â'u haddysg mewn ysgolion uwchradd cyfrwng Cymru y tu allan i Fwrdeistref y Sir. Mae gan yr awdurdod lleol bartneriaeth lwyddiannus gydag Ysgol Gyfun Rhydywaun yn Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Derbyniadau Cyn-feithrin ( rising 3s)

Mae plant sy'n troi'n 3 yn ystod y flwyddyn academaidd (rising 3s) yn gallu gwneud cais am le cyn-feithrin i ddechrau'r tymor ar ôl eu trydydd pen-blwydd h.y. yn Nhymor y Gwanwyn a'r Haf bob blwyddyn. Darperir lleoedd cyn-feithrin yn amodol ar argaeledd ac ni ellir eu gwarantu mewn unrhyw ysgol. Unwaith yr ystyrir bod y feithrin yn llawn, ni chaniateir derbyn disgyblion cyn-feithrin bellach.

Mae plant yn cael eu derbyn i'r Feithrin yn rhan amser (bore neu brynhawn) yn ystod y flwyddyn yn dilyn eu pen-blwydd yn dair oed. Gwahoddir rhieni i'r ysgol cyn i'w plentyn / plant ddechrau'r ysgol a byddant yn cwrdd â staff y Feithrin. Bydd ganddynt amser i weld cyfleusterau'r Feithrinfa a chwrdd â'r athro. Darperir pecyn cychwynnol hefyd sy'n cynnwys yr holl wybodaeth angenrheidiol.

Disgyblion ag anghenion dysgu ychwanegol ond heb ddatganiadau

Mae trefniadau derbyn ar gyfer plant ag anghenion dysgu ychwanegol ond heb ddatganiadau yn cael eu trin ar yr un sail ag ymgeiswyr eraill. Mae ceisiadau mewn perthynas â phlant o'r fath yn cael eu hystyried ar sail meini prawf derbyn yr awdurdod lleol.

Disgyblion â datganiadau o anghenion dysgu ychwanegol

Os oes gan blentyn ddatganiad o anghenion dysgu ychwanegol a gynhelir gan yr awdurdod lleol, bydd yr awdurdod lleol yn gyfrifol am gynghori ar ddarpariaeth addysgol arbennig i'w gwneud gan yr ysgol, ac am ystyried addasrwydd yr ysgol wrth naill ai cwblhau'r datganiad neu ar ôl adolygiad blynyddol.

Mae gan bob ysgol adnoddau priodol i ddiwallu anghenion dysgu ychwanegol trwy eu cyllidebau eu hunain. Mae gan rai ysgolion adnoddau pellach gydag unedau pwrpasol sy'n mynd i'r afael â rhai anghenion dysgu ychwanegol.

Polisi Derbyniadau

Dolen i'r Awdurdod Leol

The entry of children to schools is controlled and administered by an ‘Admissions Authority’. Ysgol Santes Tudful’s admissions authority is Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council.

An application for a place at a particular school must be made officially via the On-Line portal to the local authority. The local authority offers admission places during the term before a child is due to start school. Once the application has been received, the authority will inform parents/carers whether or not it is possible for your child to attend the preferred school. Parents/carers should notify the local authority in advance if they have a child, who will reach the age of 4 years by 31st August, 2020. If you need to discuss your request with the school, you can speak with the Headteacher and if appropriate, a school visit can be arranged.

Pre-nursery Admissions (Rising 3’s)

Children who turn 3 during the academic year (Rising 3’s) are eligible to apply for a pre-nursery place to commence the term after their third birthday i.e. in the Spring and Summer Terms each year. Pre-nursery places are provided subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed at any school. Once the nursery accommodation is deemed to be full, no further pre-nursery pupils may be admitted.

Children are admitted into the Nursery on a part time basis (morning or afternoon) during the year following their third birthday. Parents will be invited to the school before their child/children begin school and will meet with the Nursery staff. They will have time to view the Nursery facilities and meet with the teacher. A starter pack is also provided which includes all the necessary information.

Pupils with additional learning needs but without statements

Admission arrangements for children with additional learning needs but without statements are treated on the same basis as other applicants. Applications in respect of such children are considered on the basis of the local authority’s admission criteria.

Pupils with statements of additional learning needs

If a child has a statement of additional learning needs maintained by the local authority, the local authority will be responsible for advising on special educational provision to be made by the school, and for considering the school’s suitability when either finalising the statement or following an annual review.

All schools are appropriately resourced to meet additional learning needs through their own budgets. Some schools are further resourced with integral units addressing certain additional learning needs.

Pupils attending Welsh-medium primary schools will be able to continue their education in Welsh medium secondary schools outside the County Borough. The local authority has a successful partnership with Ysgol Gyfun Rhydywaun in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
